Bonnaroo Love

This last Bonnaroo I teamed up with the Zultan’s Army himself to shoot a little side project of some of the behind the scenes workings of a major music and arts festival. The video is currently being showcased on Bonnaroo’s website and facebook page. Shot with a Canon 5D MK II & 7D + Canon 16-35 f/2.8 L & Canon 50 f/1.4  and color corrected with Magic Bullet Looks.Director of Photography: Michael Nyffeler - Editor: Andrew Braden zultansarmy.com

Storm Season

After a string of violent and deadly tornadoes in the midwest I wanted to go out and catch some of the weather action. Unfortunately, at this time I forgot my waterproof bag and had to stop filming as the torrential rain rolled in – but the sun was giving a golden glow to the western sky just below the storm front so I stayed as long as I could! Shot with a Canon 5D MK II + Canon 16-35 f/2.8 L and color corrected with Magic Bullet Looks.

Crane

from michael nyffeler on Vimeo.  Every April a 50 mile stretch of the Platte River between Kearney and Grand Island, Nebraska becomes home to hundreds of thousands of migrating cranes traveling from breeding grounds in Canada to their summer spot in Mexico. This has been the halfway point for the past few million years and it’s an incredible sight to see such a mass of life – unfortunately a sight that becoming more and more uncommon (unless you’re talking about humans) This is a morning spent in quite solitude with them.
